Forum Posting

Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Forum posting is another way of acquiring lots of links from related sites. It is basically the same as blog commenting however in forum posting you have to register to different forums before you can post a topic or reply to existing topic. For some, it is tiring because you have to remember all of your username and password for each forums that you have registered but for many it is a must do technique to gain more backlinks.

In forum posting, there are rules to be followed. I am a forum poster and I always follow these following rules:
  • Post must be relevant to the topic you are replying
  • Thread must be relevant to the theme of the forums
  • Post must be original and with sense
The thing about joining forums is that, you will be able to communicate with people from around the world that shares the same interest as yours. You can gain a lot of new knowledge from people who are already an expert in the area of your interest and you can also share your points of view to a lot of people.

You might want to know how forum posting can generate traffics to your site? Every member is entitled to have a forum signature. Forum signature is a text or image that appears just below your post. You have an option to make your signature a link pointing to your site by using BB Codes. BB Codes are codes use to make the text in your signature clickable however BB codes won't work for some forum sites specially when you use an anchor text in your signature link. Try to register to forum site that allows BB codes in signature link to ensure traffic to your website.

For more understanding about BB Codes please visit this site.

I have been a member of a lot of great forums and I had a lot of fun exchanging opinions with other members.

Some BB Codes won't work in forums, specially using [url] codes. :(
